Vishwa Kannada Sammelana
The first ever world kannada congress was held in Manchester between 27 to 29th August 1988. Delegates from UK, USA, Europe, Israel, Australia and NZ and India attended with great enthusiasm!
Prominent personalities were Sri S R Bommai, Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri M P Prakash, Sri J H Patel, DR Shivarama Karanth, G R Vishwanath, actors Shankar Nag, Geeta, Srinath and a whole host of eminent people!
